What is Truflow Screed?

Truflow Screed is a free flowing self-levelling natural floor screed where the primary binder is form of Calcium Sulfate. A fast, efficient alternative to traditional sand and cement floor screed, Truflow Screed is designed for smoothing and levelling floors before installation of the final floor finishes.

Truflow Screed is made from a blend of the highest quality materials available combining a mix of sand, water and an Anhydrate calcium sulphate binder agent. It contains no cement and therefore eliminates many problems generally associated with traditional floor screeds.

Because of its unique high-strength properties, Truflow Screed is poured in a much thinner layer than traditional screeds, from just 10mm when used for floor levelling and between 35mm and 50mm with underfloor heating.

Truflow benefits:

1. Delivered factory-produced and ready for immediate application
2. Allows a rapid rate of application of up to 2000m2 per day
3. Laid only by Tarmac approved Contractors
4. Normally accessible to foot traffic within 24 hours
5. Self-compacting without segregation
6. Permits the designer to use lower minimum thicknesses compared to traditional ement:sand screed systems
7. Minimal need for joints
8. Soundness category A according to BS 8204: Part 1 (BRE Screed Test)
9. Class SR2 surface regularity (5mm in 3m length)
10. Protein free, will not harbour bacteria
11. Less harmful to flora and fauna

There are two types of Calcium Sulfate used in the U.K

Anhydrite CaSO4·nH2O (n=0 – 0.05)
Hemihydrate (Alpha) CaSO4~0.5H2O

The advantage of using Anhydrate screed is:

• More stable / slower conversion to gypsum
• Allows long haulage
• Delays on site before or during pours can be accommodated

The below are the most commonly known freeflowing screeding products are:

• Agilia A – Lafarge (Anhydrate)
• Alpha Screed – Maxit (Hemihydrate)
• Gyvlon – Lafarge, Cemex (Anhydrate)
• Highflow – Bardon (Hemihydrate)
• Screedflow – Screedflow (Hemihydrate)
• Sureflow – Bardon, Sika (Anhydrate)
• Superflow – Cemex (Hemihydrate)
• Truflow – Tarmac (Anhydrate)

Advanced Pumping Technology

Truflow Screed is delivered on your site by truck mixer, ready for immediate use and can be pump applied to creat a snooth and level surface for eht application of floor converings, tiles and other floor finishes. Our compact pump allows access to difficult locations. The machine is parked on-site and a hose run-in to the area being screeded, with minimal disruption to site.
We use our own german manufactured pumps
